This place is a hidden gem! We had been recommended by a friend and I was so surprised when we got there because it’s just around the corner from where I work and I had never heard of it. It’s a beautifully decorated corner cafe – a cafe, I felt, designed for me. It’s cutesy, cottage style decor made me feel right at home.

We took a seat by the window so we could watch the world go by whilst doing what we do best – enjoy the wonderful tastes of the world.

The waitress was so helpful when I asked what was gluten-free – most things are gluten-free as they use rice flour except a couple of the dishes that have cross contamination from the fryer (I decided to give them a go but understand that this should be avoided).

We picked a range of wonderfully sounding dishes including chicken wings, king prawn coconut curry, tempura soft crab, spring rolls and more. When the dishes arrived I felt like I was in an Instagram photoshoot – the dishes were beautifully presented and everything looked so tasty – the colours jumped off the plate!

We tucked in and the food was to die for – a Coeliacs’ dream. I really believe in using all the senses to get the real experience of new dishes – the colours, smells, flavours and textures were fantastic. Most importantly, everything was so fresh!

Next time you are in the area, or make a special trip because it’s worth it, I advise popping into The Little Viet Kitchen – it shouldn’t be kept hidden because it would be such a shame!
